Omnidirectionality and broad coverage<\/strong><\/h2>\n

<\/p>\n

\u2022 Recognized since 1992 and protected by an international patent<\/strong>, so far the omnidirectional speakers created\u00a0by MAJORCOM have not been equalled by any other speaker as regards to fitting large areas with PA particularly in\u00a0the large-scale industry.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Faced with marketing catch phrases such as \u201cdirectional loudspeaker with an exceptional coverage surface\u201d, \u201cwidedispersion\u00a0sphere\u201d, \u201cspace technology speaker\u201d and \u201cwide-dispersion and ceiling mounted and\u2026directional speaker\u201d,\u00a0MAJORCOM had to re-establish the reality of physics laws on sites.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2022 Thus, we were led to carry out\u00a0comparison tests between the most famous trade names products<\/strong>. Those tests
were performed under the same setting up conditions.<\/p>\n

\u2022 The efficiency of MAJORCOM<\/strong>\u00a0omnidirectional products was confirmed upon the three following points:<\/p>\n

-Sound quality<\/strong>: a quality sound can be played without any kind of device,<\/p>\n

-Homogeneous coverage<\/strong>: the patented reflector is the obvious and most efficient solution to reach a homogeneous\u00a0and substantial coverage surface,<\/p>\n

-Optimal intelligibility:<\/strong>\u00a0the\u00a0STI<\/strong>\u00a0measures showed that our products met the intelligibility requirements in any\u00a0kind of situation.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

\u2022 Thus, it could have been noted that the sound projector-typed products, spheres or usual ceiling-mounted speakers
defined as having exceptional coverage capacities keep on being directional products with a low dispersion capacity.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Therefore, using such products for substantial areas produce public address systems with successions of \u2018\u201dsurges\u201d,
and \u201cgaps\u201d to the detriment of the listening comfort and intelligibility.<\/p>\n

Grades of Omnidirectional speakers<\/h2>\n

 <\/p>\n

GROUND COVERAGE<\/strong>
\u2022 For the same power and set up at the same height, these speakers\u00a0(figure S1)<\/strong>\u00a0guarantee a 3 to 5 times wider coverage than standard\u00a0speakers, sound projectors, spheres, etc.\u00a0(figure S2)<\/strong>.
\u2022 Thanks to their original design and the presence of a\u00a0reflector, these speakers are provided with a 360\u00b0\u00a0horizontal and 160\u00b0 vertical directivity.<\/p>\n

OMNIDIRECTIONALITY\u00a0AND REVERBERATION<\/strong>
\u2022 To improve intelligibility in a reverberating environment,\u00a0the speaker-listener distance has to\u00a0be reduced.
\u2022 Now, the distribution of the sound energy in a large diffusion angle\u00a0enables to bring the omnidirectional speakers closer to the listeners\u00a0without bothering them. This is absolutely not the case for standard\u00a0directional speakers.<\/p>\n

QUALITY OF THE SOUND MESSAGE<\/strong>
\u2022 The intelligibility of a sound message is up to 60% provided by treble frequencies.
\u2022 With standard speakers, trebles are present with other frequencies only over a small ground surface (S2).
\u2022 For the omnidirectional speakers, treble frequencies are distributed as well as other frequencies,\u00a0over the whole S1 surface which is 3 to 5 times higher than S2.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
